Question
How do you keep the description text of inherited methods in synchronization with that of virtual operations of its base class in IBM Rational Rhapsody?
Cause
Creating a child class and realizing its base class copies the virtual operations from the parent class automatically. However the description text of the operations from the parent class is ignored
Answer
In order to have the description text copied automatically, apply the steps below:
Note: The following modification need to be carried out for post Rational Rhapsody v7.1.
- Open the rhapsody.ini file in edit mode
- Add the following flag under the [General] section:
ClearDescriptionsOnImplementBaseClasses=FALSE
