IBM Support

IBM Rational Rhapsody support for multiprocessors

Question & Answer

Question

Does Rational Rhapsody support Multiprocessors?

Answer

Rational Rhapsody does have multiprocessor support which can be activated by setting the flag below in the Rhapsody.ini file:

    [GENERAL]

    RHAPSODY_AFFINITY=2

To view the affinity set for the application, you can check the Task Manager.

This variable is designed to address cases where Rhapsody has problems with more than one processor.

For example, to run Rhapsody on a single processor, add the following line to the rhapsody.ini file:

    RHAPSODY_AFFINITY=1

A zero value or lack of this variable disables the mechanism.
