Troubleshooting
Problem
Error: "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." occurs when trying to install Rational Change for DOORS Interface v5.7.
Symptom
When attempting to run 'ratlChange_DOORS_5-7-0.exe' to install Rational Change for DOORS Interface v5.7; immediately prompted with following error message:
"This action is only valid for products that are currently installed."
Resolving The Problem
To resolve the issue:
1. Ensure you have compatible version of DOORS installed on the machine.
You can check compatible product from the Rational Change for DOORS readme file. Click on the URL to download readme file http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rsdp/v1r0m0/index.jsp and follow the path to Rational Change -> Rational Change version 5.2
- If yes, uninstall the previous version of integration prior upgrading to Rational Change for DOORS interface 5.7
3. If previous version of integration was uninstalled and still receiving the error:
- Ensure there are no remaining .dll files (cslib.dll and csapi.dll) left by uninstaller under $WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folder. If so, rename or remove 'cslib.dll' and 'csapi.dll' files.
4. Now, try installing 'Rational Change for DOORS interface 5.7'
