Troubleshooting
Problem
Architect hangs when user tries to open the rules editor for one particular cube.
All other rules file for the same TM1 server open up without a problem
Cause
Corrupt rules file (.rux)
Resolving The Problem
Sort all files in the data directory alphabetically and see all the files of the cube that has the problem . (cubename.cub, cubename.rux etc ) .
Are all present with size more that 0 Bytes ?
Compare the file size to the one from the backup
Compare the file size to the one from the backup
In this scenario restoring the .rux file of this cube from the backup resolved the problem
Another check that also needs to be done is to make sure the AdvancedRulesEditor is set to False in the tm1p.ini file
Advanced Rules Editor is no longer supported so this advanced parameter should not be set in Planning Analytics
