How do you remove sections from an IBM Rational DOORS module that is setup for shareable edit mode?
Answer
In order to remove the shareable edit sections of the DOORS module, follow the steps below.
- Log into DOORS as a Database Manager
- Go to DOORS Database Explorer window
- Right click on the module and select Open->Exclusive Edit
- Go to Tools -> Edit DXL
- From DXL Interaction window, click on Browse
- Expand "Some example programs which illustrate various DXL features" selection
- Select "Example to remove sections from all objects in display set"
- Click Run
- Close the DXL Interaction window
- Save the module
The sections will be removed from the shareable edit mode.
Note: Running this dxl will set access rights on objects in the display set to "Inherit from parent", thus removing sections.
