Modeling Power9
Batch Model has been enhanced to model Power9 processors.
After applying the required PTF, use the commands below to restart your IBM Navigator for i server.

Modeling SSDs
Batch Model recognizes and models Solid State Drives (SSDs).
5.4 and 6.1 Collections
OSP-OTHER Batch Model support for 5.4 and 6.1 collection
PTF/FIX #: SI55981 - IBM i
LICENSED PROGRAM: 5770SS1
DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE61159 :
-----------------------------------------------
The following problems are fixed in this APAR:
1)Support for 16 wait buckets for collection data of V5R4
2)Substitute JBCPU for JBINDCPU for V6R1 and V5R4 data
3)Support concurrently creating model from multi-collections
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE61159 :
-----------------------------
1)V5R4 collection only provides 16 wait buckets, however Batch
Model retrieved data from 32 wait buckets. This has been fixed
by adding logic to handle 16 wait buckets for V5R4.
2)JBINDCPU is not available below V7R1, so Batch Model could not
get CPU data in those cases. This has been fixed by using JBCPU
as substitution for JBINDCPU for V6R1 and V5R4 collection.
3)Batch Model was using a same temporary file to merge data from
multi-collections. This has been fixed by merging data into
different temporary files.

Merge and Model Updates
OSP-MSGCPFB50B-T/QPYBBCHMDL Batch Model merge fails
PTF/FIX #: SI55899 - IBM i
LICENSED PROGRAM: 5770SS1
DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE61102 :
-----------------------------------------------
The following problems are fixed in this APAR:
1) Batch Model merge operation fails with MSGCPFB50B.
2) Modeling processor changes while keeping the same number
of processing units as the original configuration shows no
changes to workloads in the modeled results

LICENSED PROGRAM: 5770SS1
DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE61102 :

The following problems are fixed in this APAR:

2) Modeling processor changes while keeping the same number
of processing units as the original configuration shows no
changes to workloads in the modeled results
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE61102 :
-----------------------------
1) The Batch Model merge failed because the modeled workloads
were not properly merged. This has been fixed by correcting the
algorithm which merges the workloads.
2) The modeling algorithm was ignoring any processor changes
when the number of processing units remained the same as in the
original configuration. This has been fixed by detecting changes
to any of the processor attributes, not just processing units.

Modeling Power8
Batch Model has been enhanced to model Power8 processors. You must apply both PTFs SI54715 and SI54462.
After applying the required PTFs, use the commands below to restart your IBM Navigator for i server.
