RTVCPYSSN API

This API can be used to retrieve either the ASP session or SVC Session information found in either DSPASPSSN or DSPSVCSSN output, for use within a program.

Note:  This can only be called from within a program

Parameters

ASPDEV - Name of the IASP devices

STATE - Name of the variable to receive the ASP or SVC session state

PRODNODE - Name of the production node or flashcopy source node

MIRNODE - Name of the mirror node or the flashcopy target node

SSN - Name of the variable to receive the ASP session name

TYPE - Session type

V7R1 or earlier:  *GEOMIR=geographic mirroring; *METROMIR=metro mirror; *GLOBALMIR=global mirror; *FLASHCOPY=flashcopy

V7R2 or above:   A = ASP Copy Descriptions ; S = SVC Copy Descriptions

V7KSSN (V7R1 or earlier) - Name of the variable to receive the SVC session name (if using SVC Copy Descriptions in the session)

Note:  This parameter is no longer required at V7R2 and above

Return Parameters

CHAR(10)     - ASP device name

CHAR(10)     - ASP or SVC session state

CHAR(10)     - Production (source) node name

CHAR(10)     - Mirror (target) node name

CHAR(10)     - ASP session name

CHAR(1)       - ASP or SVC session type (A=session between ASP copy descriptions; S=session between SVC copy descriptions)

Note:  At V7R1 or earlier, the value "T" indicated a DS8K-based ASP session. At V7R2 or higher, there is no longer a differentiation between types of ASP sessions.

CHAR(10)     - SVC session name
