RUNSVCCMD (SmartAssist Version)

RUNSVCCMD Command

This command can be used to send an SVC-based CLI command to the external storage subsystem to be run, and provide the success or failure output to the IBM i user.

Parameters

CMD - CLI Command to be run on the SVC or Storwize subsystem

HOST - SVC host name (local host table entry or DNS -- This may differ from what is configured on the storage subsystem itself)

USER - User profile to log into the SVC or Storwize subsystem

PWD - Password for the user profile listed above

OUTPUT - Results output file (path-qualified in IFS).  If the file exists, it will be overwritten.  If it does not exist, the file will be created.

DISPLAY - Display results (*YES=display results to the job log; *NO=do not display results to the job log
