This page describes the detail steps to create Nagios services and customized SQL matrix for IBM i monitoring. Please note that your NagiosXI should be at 5.6.7 with version 2019-09-26. A video link will be provided later.

1. Configuring IBM i Services via wizard

    1.1 Click 'Configure' button on the menu bar

    1.2 Click the icon of 'Start Monitoring Now'

    1.3 In the search text box, type in 'IBM i'. You will find two wizards here.

    1.4 Select the wizard of ‘IBM i Service' and follow the instructions on the wizard.

2. Configuring IBM i Custom SQL

    2.1 Click 'Configure' button on the menu bar

    2.2 Click the icon of 'Start Monitoring Now'

>    2.3 In the search text box, type in 'IBM i'. You will find two wizards here.

    2.4 Select the wizard of ‘IBM i Custom SQL' and follow the instructions on the wizard.
