What versions of IBM Maximo® Asset Management are supported on Oracle database versions 18c and 19c?
Cause
Oracle database version support depends on Maximo Asset Management version.

Maximo Development maintains up-to-date platform support information in the Product Configuration Matrix spreadsheet. If a platform is not listed, that means it is not supported for any version of Maximo.
Downloading the Oracle driver
At the Oracle website, be sure to download ojdbc8.jar, which is certified with JDK8. The ojdbc10.jar driver is certified with only with JDK10. It does not work with Maximo 7.6.x, which uses JDK8.
How to update the Oracle driver
- Make a backup of <maximo_root>maximo\applications\maximo\lib\oraclethin.jar
- Download the version of JDBC driver from Oracle website.
- Copy it to <maximo_root>maximo\applications\maximo\lib\
- Rename it oraclethin.jar
- Rebuild and redeploy the maximo ear file.
