The following fixes and updates are included in the 2017 Q4 PTFs:

Fixes for IBM Navigator for i
- 1. Support for Job descriptions is now available in IBM Navigator for i
- A 'Job Descriptions' node has been added under the Work Management node in the navigation area. This results in a list of job descriptions, which can be customized by the user. In addition, the following tasks can be performed from this list, as well as from the All Tasks area: Create, change, delete, copy, display.
- 2. Users with *PGMR authority and using IBM Navigator for i can select Journal Management and in the next screen the option "Set Database/Library to Use with Journal Tasks" is not grayed out allowing the users to click there.
- 3. IBM Navigator for i NAS Manage keyTab function incorrectly stores password for the keytab entry. If the password is of mixed case and/or special characters, the Manage keyTab performas the update without error but the subsequent kinit -k returns error:
- kinit -k krbsvr400/cta04.rchland.ibm.com@rchland.ibm.com EUVF06016E Password is not correct for krbsvr400/cta04.rchland.ibm.com@rchland.ibm.com
Detail on PTF apply:
1. Enter the following commands to stop the QHTTPSVR subsystem and QINAVMNSRV job before applying PTF:
| ENDSBS SBS(QHTTPSVR) OPTION(*IMMED) CALL PGM(QSYSDIR/QINAVMNSRV) PARM(*STOP) |
2. Apply or remove this PTF (immediate mode).
3. Start the HTTP server(s) using:
| STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN) |
4. It is required to clear the browser cache after applying this PTF for some of the above changes to take effect.
