This fix pack resolves the APARs and defects listed in the "Problems fixed" section.
This fix pack also includes the fixes in earlier releases.

2.1 Prerequisites for this fix

Download IBM Tivoli Monitoring for Virtual Environments V7.2.0.5 package from IBM Passport Advantage website.

Abstract: Task collectors API call logs faulty messages in log files and in task section of ESX server's client interface.

Abstract: VMware VI agent does not show all the session events occurred at ESX server.

Abstract: VMware VI agent does not show guest OS name of the virtual machine.

Abstract: VMware VI agent shows wrong value for the snapshot consumption at data store level.

=======================
This fix image contains the following files:
ITMVE7.2.0.5_VMVIKVMNAS_AGTMP_EN.tar.gz (Fix archive .tar format)
Note: Contents in the .gz files are identical for both Windows™ and UNIX platforms.
The same installer works for the Windows™ and UNIX operating systems.

5.0 Installation instructions
======================
This fix can be installed on an existing installation. Use the following steps to install this fix.
5.1 Installing the fix
-------------------------
Before installing this fix, refer to section 2.1 entitled 'Prerequisites for this fix' .
For this readme file, the symbol <CANDLEHOME> is the IBM Tivoli Monitoring installation directory.
The default value of CANDLEHOME is '/opt/IBM/ITM' on UNIX™ systems and 'C:\IBM\ITM' on Windows systems.

For more troubleshooting installation information, see the itmpatch.log in the patch logs directory in <CANDLEHOME>.
6.1 Installation instructions for agent baroc file
--------------------------------------------------------
There are no updates to the baroc files included in this fix or any of the superseded fixes. No additional installation steps are required.
6.2 Verifying the update
-----------------------------
1. To verify that the agent was updated correctly, use the tacmd command to view the current version of the agent after the agent is restarted. You are required to log in to a Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server before viewing the agent version.
For example:
 
On UNIX systems, where $CANDLEHOME is the IBM Tivoli Monitoring installation directory, the default location is '/opt/IBM/ITM'.
> $CANDLEHOME/bin/tacmd login -s <server>
-u <itmuser>
-p <password>
> $CANDLEHOME/bin/tacmd listSystems -t PRODUCT_CODE
On a Windows system, where %CANDLE_HOME% is the IBM Tivoli Monitoring installation directory, the default location is 'C:\IBM\ITM'.
> %CANDLE_HOME%\bin\tacmd login -s <server>
-u <itmuser>
-p <password>
> %CANDLE_HOME%\bin\tacmd listSystems -t PRODUCT_CODE

Note:
When the VMware VI agent update is successful, the agent version is: 07.30.01.00.
When the Linux Kernel-based Virtual Machines agent update is successful, the agent version is: 07.20.04.00.
 
2. To verify the agent support files were updated correctly, use the command "kincinfo" on Windows systems or the command "cinfo" on
Linux™ or UNIX systems.
On UNIX or Linux systems:
To validate that all components are installed successfully, run the following command:
$CANDLE_HOME/bin/cinfo -i
For example:
