Abstract
How to assign a specific port to JVM in Web Sphere.
Body
When creating the JVM in Web sphere the port gets assigned automatically.
There is way to assign a specific port based on availability and configuration needs.
First run netstat -a and identify the desired port. Then you should navigate to Environment >
Virtual Hosts > Application host >Host Aliases>and replace the assigned form with desired.
When done , navigate to Server Types > MXServer> Ports > Details and change the
WS_defaulthost to desired port. Please restart Application Server.
You are done.
