Limiting the number of queries that display on the Side Navigation Bar in Maximo 7.6
Body
Starting in Maximo 7.6 there is a System Property that determines the maximum number of queries that display under "Available Queries"
in the side navigation bar. This property is called mxe.webclient.maxNavbarQueryLimit and is set to 20 (maximum number of queries that
will be shown) by default on both a fresh install and on an upgraded instance. This property was included in order to keep the page
displaying quickly and prevent the user from having to do a lot of vertical scrolling should there be a lot of queries.
To change the value go to System Configuration, Platform Configuration, System Properties. Then filter for the
mxe.webclient.maxNavbarQueryLimit property value, change the global value, and save. Lastly select the check box beside the property
and then click on "Live Refresh". With the property value set to 20 and the number of queries for this application less than 20, all of the
Available Queries will display and it will look similar to the image below:
With the property value set to 3 and the number of queries for this application greater than 3, only the first 3 queries will show under
Available Queries and it will look similar to image below with a link to "View More Queries":
If you click on the "View More Queries" link it will show a screen similar to the image below showing the remaining queries:
