CVEID: CVE-2014-3603
DESCRIPTION: The (1) HttpResource and (2) FileBackedHttpResource implementations in Shibboleth Identity Provider (IdP) before 2.4.1 and OpenSAML Java 2.6.2 do not verify that the server hostname matches a domain name in the subject's Common Name (CN) or subjectAltName field of the X.509 certificate, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof SSL servers via an arbitrary valid certificate.

Remediation/Fixes
To upgrade to Liberty for v3.39-20191121-1047 or higher, you must re-stage or re-push your application.
To find the current version of Liberty for Java in IBM Cloud being used, from the command-line Cloud Foundry client by running the following commands:
cf ssh <appname> -c cat "staging_info.yml"
Look for the following lines:
{"detected_buildpack":"Liberty for Java(TM) (WAR, liberty-18.0.0_3, buildpack-v3.25-20180918-1034, ibmjdk-1.8.0_20180214, env)","start_command":".liberty/initial_startup.rb"}
To re-stage your application using the command-line Cloud Foundry client, use the following command:
cf restage <appname>
To re-push your application using the command-line Cloud Foundry client, use the following command:
cf push <appname>
