Abstract

How to use the Job Watcher package in PDI to find Interval Details, Holder information and move from one Interval to another within the Interval Details panel.

Job Watcher package
The Job Watcher package in PDI allows you to view Job Watcher collections collected by the Job Watcher command or through other means such as the iDoctor Job Watcher tool.

Interval Details

1) Open “All Waits by Thread or Task Sorted by Non-idle Waits” perspective

2) Select one thread or task and drill down to “All Waits for One Thread or Task”

3) Select one interval and drill down to “Interval Details for One Thread or Task”

Show Holder

Display holder information when you have identified a thread or task that is holding others.

All Waits by Thread or Task Sorted by Non-idle Wait -> All Waits for One Thread or Task -> Interval Details for One Thread or Task

If there is a holding job or task for the current thread or task, the “Show Holder” button will be displayed

When clicking the “Show Holder” button, the holding job or task info will be displayed.

Interval Details movement

In Job Watcher when looking at All Waits for One Thread or Task and then Interval Details for one Thread or Task, the Interval Number can now be changed to view Interval Details for another valid interval in the collection:
