Troubleshooting
Problem
When try to login to Planning Analytics Workspace with the CAM user ID the following message occur in the browser:
Unable to login using the provided CAM ID credential
Symptom
Not able to login to Planning Analytics Workspace.
Cause
Configuration issue in the Planning Analytics Workspace configuration.
In this Case the two entries for "IBM Cognos BI Gateway URI" and "IBM Cognos BI Dispatcher URI" in the Planning Analytics Workspace configuration points to two different Cognos Analytics environments. One entry is point to production system and the other was point to the development environment the customer was using.

Resolving The Problem
Check and Validate your Planning Analytics Workspace setting.
Open the IBM Planning Analytics Workspace Administration Tool
- .\Start.ps1
- Verify the Authentication Mode setting is set to: CAM
- Check if the "IBM Cognos BI Gateway URI" is point to the correct BI server you plan to use for CAM authentication
- Check if the "IBM Cognos BI Dispatcher URI" is point to the correct BI server you plan to use for CAM authentication
- Check if the correct Namesspace ID is enter in "IBM Cognos BI Authentication Namespace ID"
- Validate your settings to make sure all entries are valid.
- Use the "Update" button to save your changes
To make sure your changes take effect, you should execute the .\paw.ps1 command from a Powershell Window ("Run as Administrator"). This will result into a recreation of the PA Workspace containers to make sure the new configuration settings are used.
