[NEW] Withdrawal of Support Announcement

Integrated Server Support for IBM i (5770-SS1 option 29)
Effective December 23, 2022, IBM will no longer support the Integrated Server Support for IBM i.

Stabilization Announcement

The IBM i Integrated Server solution has been stabilized and will only be supporting the hardware and operating system versions that are currently listed in the iSCSI Solution Guide.
•     There are no new planned enhancements to the IBM i Integrated Server product.
•     There are no plans to support any new System x hardware.
•     There are no plans to support any non-IBM hardware.
•     There are no plans to support any additional operating systems.
•     There are no plans to support IBM i 7.3.
Details on the supported hardware models and operating system versions can be found at the solution guide.

Storage migration can be done using a X86 based techniques, for example, Windows Robocopy or some other Windows based backup/restore mechanisms, VMware storage VMotion or VMware vSphere replication etc. If additional assistance is required, please contact intwin@us.ibm.com.

Customers looking for user profile integration alternatives are recommended to instead leverage a Single sign-on environment.  Details on the alternative Single sign-on solution can be found at:

Enhancements for the IBM i integration with BladeCenter and System x (integrated server support) solution are listed in the table below.

Many of these enhancements are delivered using the IBM i PTF groups listed for each release. "Base" indicates that the enhancement is included in the base release and "-" indicates that the enhancement is not available for the release.
