Abstract
The following table lists the PTFs that are required for each IBM i release in order to run BladeCenter® and System x® servers that are integrated with the IBM i system.
Content
You are in: IBM i Technology Updates > IBM i integration with BladeCenter and System x > IBM i PTFs
Before installing an integrated server, load all of the following required PTFs:
- Load the cumulative PTF package shown.
- Load the PTF group shown.
Note: The required PTFs must be installed on each IBM i partition that will host integrated servers.
After an integrated server has been installed, check this page periodically to see if additional required PTFs have been released. Alternatively, enable self notification of future changes to this page by selecting the Notify me of: Page changes option.
You can order PTFs via Electronic Customer Support (ECS) or Fix Central, or find more information on the Fixes web page. Additional IBM i service and support information can be found at http://www.ibm.com/systems/support/i/.
Note: Use the IBM i WRKPTFGRP command to verify that you have the latest level of the PTF group installed.
Action required: The PTF group for your IBM i release contains a service pack PTF for the IBM i Integrated Server Support code that runs on the integrated Windows or VMware ESX server. After installing the PTF group, you need to install the service pack from IBM i to each Windows or VMware ESX Server. See the Installing IBM i integration service packs section of the IBM i iSCSI Solution Guide for service pack installation instructions.
