What information should I provide to diagnose an issue with the IBM Toolbox for java / JTOpen?
Answer
For problem reports, submit the following information if possible. Normally this is enough to isolate the problem.
- The java exception stack dump
- To which IBM i release is the java application connecting?
- Turn off the JIT(Just in Time compiler) and re-test.
- Which toolbox modification/PTF level is in use? To determine, use utilities.AboutToolbox utility.
- Turn Toolbox tracing on. This will trace a great deal of configuration and execution information regarding how the Toolbox is being used.
