Abstract
New functions HASH_MD5, HASH_SHA1, HASH_SHA256, and HASH_SHA512 have been introduced for IBM i in 7.4.

In IBM i 7.4, the existing HASH function has been renamed to HASH_VALUES.
Any use of the HASH function as defined prior to IBM i 7.4 must be changed to use the renamed version of this function, HASH_VALUES.

The new HASH built-in functions are:
- HASH_MD5, HASH_SHA1, HASH_SHA256, and HASH_SHA512
- HASH is a synonym for HASH_MD5, if only one argument is passed
- Choose your hash function based upon algorithm or result size
