Question
Why does importing of DOORS data to Rhapsody Gateway take several hours, also in the case of a small module?
Cause
You import data from DOORS to Rhapsody Gateway. The import process does not finish and can run to several hours.
This issue is caused by running into an endless loop in the types file, when the attribute "parent type" references the project name instead of a regular parent attribute (like requirement)
Answer
As this issue cannot be corrected in Gateway itself, do the following steps:
- Edit the .types file, which is located in your Rhapsody project
- Remove all entries like Attribute2Parents=
- Restart Gateway
- If you later need any attribute parents settings, then you can add them again in Gateway Edit Types
