Why does the external code simplifier plug-in suddenly fail to run in Rhapsody when generating code?
Cause
This issue can be caused by a Rhapsody upgrade, it was also observed after Microsoft™ Windows™ patches and Java™ upgrades are installed.
Answer
Several upgrade installations can overwrite existing Windows registry values.
To fix this issue, you need to start Rhapsody and the simplifier plug-in one time as Administrator. So the required registry values will automatically renew.
