Supported adapters and devices     

    Note: The only internal removable media device supported by IBM i on Power9 is the internal USB RDX drive (FC EU00)

    Note: SAS tape library devices are not supported, except for TS2900 in sequential mode, when attached by using a VIOS partition.

   Note:  When a Fibre Channel tape device is attached by using a VIOS partition (NPIV support) a SAN switch is always required.

   Note: SAS LTO-4 drives and Fibre Channel LTO-3, 3592-J1A, 3592-E05 drives in any configuration are not supported by IBM i 7.5.  The 3577 (TS3400) and ProtecTIER tape libraries are not supported by IBM i 7.5.
