Troubleshooting
Problem
User logs on to the rich tier server. User launches TM1 Architect, and tries to log on to their instance.
- They do this using a 'Native' (non-IBMID) user (for example 'Admin').
An error appears.
Symptom
TM1 Login
An error has occurred
CSIAH0302E The configuration for the basic LDAP user authentication mechanism is missing or invalid

Cause
Both of the following are true:
- The Planning Analytics (TM1) instance (also known as server / database) is configured (inside its TM1s.cfg configuration file) to use the default/normal setting "IntegratedSecurityMode=5" (which means it uses IBMID log on, not 'native' log on).
- The user is trying to log on with a native user (for example 'Admin') not an IBMID user.
Resolving The Problem
Log on to the Planning Analytics instance that uses an IBMID user.
