Blank Cube Viewer and Dimension Editor popup windows

Troubleshooting


Problem

A pre-existing user is unable to use Dimension 'Set Editor' and/or Cube Viewer in Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel.  Before now, this was working without any issues.

Symptom

The Dimension Set Editor and Cube Viewer popup window, in PA for MSExcel, will be blank.

Resolving The Problem

User must clear their Internet Explorer cache including (specifically) Temporary Internet Files
This can be done from one of the following manners:
1) Microsoft Internet Explorer under Tools - Internet Options
- Click Internet Options
- Under the General tab, scroll down and click Settings.
- Click View Files. This will open a new Window. Do a CTRL + A to select all the files and delete the cookies.
- Once done click ok.
- Click Delete on the left hand side of Settings on the same "General" tab and delete the cache and cookies.
- Close IE
- Launch Excel and test PA for Excel again
2) Computer management - Disk Management
- Highlight the C drive
- From the menu select Properties
- Click on Disk Cleanup, a process runs to prepare and calculate
- Some options are already selected, Temporary Internet Files is one of them. If it is NOT ticked, please do so.
- Click OK, then Delete Files
