Attempting to refresh a simple dataset fails: Your data set "name" did not refresh.
Resolving The Problem
In this instance, Cognos Analytics was on a hosted environment with ESET Antivirus software installed
Disabling the ESET Antivirus software resulted in the problem with the dataset to go away.
