Troubleshooting
Problem
Planning Analytics Workspace was working for a while. When try to connect to PAW the following message occurred in the browser:
PA-GATEWAY Error: An unexpected error has occurred
Symptom
Not able to work with Planning Analytics Workspace anymore.
Cause
Planning Analytics is down.
Planning Analytics isn't able to connect to the PA Server which is used in the PAW configuration.
Environment
Windows 2016
Docker 19.1.2
Planning Analytics Workspace 2.0.43
Planning Analytics 2.0.7
Diagnosing The Problem
Start the Planning Analytics Administration in open a Powershell window ("Run as Administrator") and execute the Start.ps1 script in the PAW installation folder.
- In the PAW Admin Tool do a validation of the PAW settings
Check if all settings are valid and the validation succeeded.
Resolving The Problem
Start the Planning Analytics Administration in open a Powershell window ("Run as Administrator") and execute the Start.ps1 script in the PAW installation folder.
- In the PAW Admin Tool do a validation of the PAW settings
Check if all settings are valid and the validation succeeded
If the validation isn't successful check the entries one by one and verify that the configured PA server services are up and running. - As soon as the referred PA server services are started up, then do a re-validation on the PAW admin page.
- If the validation is successful, then try to connect to PAW in a browser now.
A restart of PAW is normally not required. - If you still receive an error message, then restart PAW via the PAW admin page. Use the Restart button
After a successful restart of PAW try to connect to PAW again.
