TCR and VMMprovider access button greyed out.
Body
TCR and VMMprovider access button greyed out.
Had a recent case where the VMMprovider button in the the screens was greyed out and so could not see usrs.
To check everything was set up correctly this video was reviewed and the steps checked:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jie9eABpazs&feature=youtu.be
(Jazz - How to add Cognos Permissions for a new TCR User)
However there was still the same issue after this.
The files were reviewed and even though this was a fresh install there had been a change in the cogstartup.xml file.
AllowAnon should be false by default but was seen to be set to true in the file.
<crn:parameter name="allowAnon">
<crn:value xsi:type="xsd:boolean">true</crn:value>
This was set back to false; TCR restarted and the access to VMMprovider tab was then available.
The area of the cogstartup.xml file that needs reviewed is:
<crn:instance name="Cognos" class="Cognos">
<!-- allowAnon: Specifies whether anonymous access is allowed. -->
<!-- By default, anonymous authentication process doesn't require the user to provide
logon credentials. The anonymous authentication uses a pre-defined account under
which all anonymous users are logged in. -->
<crn:parameter name="allowAnon">
<crn:value xsi:type="xsd:boolean">false</crn:value>
</crn:parameter>
<crn:parameter name="disableCM">
<crn:value xsi:type="xsd:boolean">false</crn:value>
</crn:parameter>
</crn:instance>
Take a copy of the cogstartup.xml before any changes are made and restart TCR after the edit to allow the changes to take effect.
