This document describes how to download installation images for IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments Version 8.1.9.

Download Description

IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments V8.1.9 includes the following components and levels:

  • Data Protection for VMware V8.1.9
  • Data Protection for Microsoft Hyper-V V8.1.9

Maintenance Packages via PTF Distribution website

All IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments V8.1.9 maintenance packages can accessed by using the PTF distribution website.

However, these PTF packages require an existing V8.1.x installation on the machine before you apply them, because the PTF maintenance packages do not contain the license enablement files that are required for use of the component. For initial installation of a IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments component on a machine or VM, you have to obtain your packages, with the associated license enablement files, from the Passport Advantage Online website.

Download Package

The provided HTTP link in the following Download Options column directs you to the Passport Advantage Online website. Passport Advantage is a secure website that requires an account ID and password. It has all of the component and platform images associated with IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments 8.1.6 available for download.

You can locate images on the Passport Advantage Online website by using the part number as the search query. For example to locate the IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments: Data Protection for VMware use as search query CC3JMML for Windows and use CC3JNML for Linux.

The provided FTP link in the following Download Options column is to the top-level directory that contains this Fix Pack. The subdirectory structure separates the Fix Pack images by operating system platform, then by available Fix Pack version.
