How to add a new admin user to a Planning Analytics server on Cloud

Problem

A new server has been created on an environment on Cloud and  you need to add an admin user.

Resolving The Problem

Method 1

  1. Contact an existing Admin user and have them give you Admin rights on an existing server

Method 2 (access to the Welcome Kit necessary)

  1. Sign into the Planning Analytics server with your IBMid. This is a necessary step to add your CAMid to security. Please note that CreateNewCAMClients must be set to T in TM1s.cfg in order for this to work.
  2. In the TM1s.cfg file, change IntegratedSecurityMode=5 to IntegratedSecurityMode=1. This change will be dynamically picked up in approx 10-15 secs
  3. Sign into Architect with the admin user/password from the Welcome Kit. If you have imported data from on premise, the admin user/password would be the same as it was on premise
  4. Right click the server name and choose Security > Client/Groups
  5. Find the Mode 5 user in the list on the left and grant them Admin access
  6. Sign out of Architect
  7. In the TM1s.cfg file, change IntegratedSecurityMode=1 back to IntegratedSecurityMode=5
