Problem
HTTP ARchive format (HAR) files may contain confidential information which you should be aware of.
Cause
HTTP ARchive format (HAR) files is a JSON-formatted archive file format for logging of a web browser's interaction with a site. IBM Support may request HAR files to diagnose some issues. You need to be aware that HAR files contain sensitive data, including content of the pages you downloaded while recording and your cookies. Examples of information contained in the HAR file include: personal details, user ID, passwords, credit card numbers. The inclusion of this information is not controlled by the IBM product. It is provided as part of the HAR file generation.
Resolving The Problem
All information provided to IBM Support should use the Enhanced Customer Data Repository (ECuRep) and protected under the ECuRep Terms of use.
It is possible to use tools to sanitize the data before you send it. There are third-party tools available. For example Google: HAR Sanatizer.
