IBM Support

No support for JAVA 7 with Plugins and IBM HTTP Server in 8.5.x

Troubleshooting

Problem

The IBM HTTP Server and Plugins offerings do not support switching to JAVA 7.

Resolving The Problem

The java included in the offering (IBM HTTP Server and Plugins) is not used by the runtime. It is just used by the "configuration
related scripts" that are included with these offerings. There would not be any type of runtime-performance benefit from using Java 7.
JAVA 7 can be installed as an optional feature on WebSphere Application Server ( ND, Base, Express) and the managesdk command can be used to switch JAVA.
