Application Server configuration archive specific MustGather information
The WebSphere wsadmin scripting AdminTask object is used to work with configuration archives; reference ConfigArchiveOperations command group for the AdminTask object using wsadmin scripting

Gather the following information to debug the Application Server configuration archive problems:

  1. Enable wsadmin tracing on source and target WAS_PROFILE by editing the WAS_PROFILE/properties/wsadmin.properties file and uncommenting the following line:

    #com.ibm.ws.scripting.traceString=com.ibm.*=all=enabled

    Note: Remove "#" from the first column and save the file.

  2. Run the export command from the WAS_PROFILE/bin directory. For example:

    $AdminTask exportServer {-archive c:/myServer.car -nodeName  node1 -serverName server1}

    $AdminTask exportWasprofile {-archive c:\myCell.car}

  3. Run the collector tool from the WAS_PROFILE where AdminTask export command is issued. Also provide the exported .car file from AdminTask command.

  4. Run the AdminTask import command on target system. For example:

    $AdminTask importServer {-archive c:/myServer.car [-nodeInArchive node1][-serverArchive server1][-nodeName node1][-serverName server1]}

    $AdminTask importWasprofile {-archive c:\myCell.car}

  5. Run the collector tool from the WAS_PROFILE where the AdminTask import command is issued.

  6. Follow directions in MustGather: Read First for opening a PMR and sending data to IBM® Support.

  7. Follow instructions to send diagnostic information to IBM support.
