Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to connect to IBM Cloud Orchestrator or IBM PureApplication System and to provision an image result in errors, or no image is created, or the Agent cannot be contacted, when using IBM UrbanCode Deploy.
Cause
Many environmental causes are possible for the failure to provision a Virtual System Pattern from IBM UrbanCode Deploy.
Read here how to trace the integration between UrbanCode Deploy and IBM Cloud Orchestrator or IBM PureApplication System to determine the root cause.
Environment
This information applies if you use the following software and you do not use the Virtual System Patterns (classic).
- IBM UrbanCode Deploy v6.1.1 or newer
- IBM Cloud Orchestrator v2.4 or newer
- IBM PureApplication System v 2.0 or newer
The difference between the Virtual System Patterns (classic) and the Virtual System Patterns is described here:
- IBM Cloud Orchestrator v2.4:

Working with Virtual System Patterns (classic)
- IBM PureApplication System v 2.0
