Problem

Missing Workflow status on the task details page in the InfoSphere Governance Catalog New

Symptom

1. Before you upgrade to 11.7.1.1 Service Pack 2, create any governance asset or check the existing assets.
2. Go to the "Task list" page: https://<UG Host>/ibm/iis/ui/tasks
Observe the Task details page does not show status of the task.

Cause

WebSphere Application Server cache not being cleaned.

Diagnosing The Problem

SystemOut.log shows com.ibm.xmeta.model.XMetaAnnotation.XMetaAnnotationPackage (initialization failure)
Example:
000000c9 webapp E com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.webapp.WebApp logServletError SRVE0293E: [Servlet Error]-[JAX-RS Servlet]: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.ibm.xmeta.model.XMetaAnnotation.XMetaAnnotationPackage (initialization failure)
at java.lang.J9VMInternals.initializationAlreadyFailed(J9VMInternals.java:96)

Resolving The Problem

 To solve the problem, clean WebSphere Application Server cache and restart WebSphere Application Server.

Steps:

1. Clear the cache

WAS_HOME/profiles/profile_name/bin/clearClassCache.bat.sh
WAS_HOME/profiles/profile_name/bin/osgiCfgInit.bat.sh

2. (optional) Clear temporary directories (do NOT remove the directory itself, just the contents):

WAS_HOME/profiles/profile_name/wstemp
WAS_HOME/profiles/profile_name/temp
WAS_HOME/profiles/profile_name/config/temp

3. restart WebSphere Application Server.
