IBM API Connect consolidates the market-leading capabilities of IBM API Management, IBM StrongLoop and IBM SDK for Node.js. This document explains how customers can migrate their current entitlements to IBM API Connect.
Content
On February 16, 2016, IBM announced IBM API Connect, which enables enterprises to accelerate their digital transformation powered by APIs and micro-services. This is an exciting new release that consolidates the market-leading capabilities of IBM API Management, IBM StrongLoop and IBM SDK for Node.js.
On May 31, 2016, IBM announced the end of market for API Management and SDK for Node.js. IBM API Connect is the successor to IBM API Management, IBM StrongLoop and IBM SDK for Node.js. IBM will help customers migrate their current entitlements for existing products to equivalent entitlements for corresponding IBM API Connect editions. See the Entitlement Migration Summary section below for more information.
Please note that IBM will continue to support existing API Management and SDK for Node.js releases and will give 12 months notice before ending their support, giving customers the time needed to plan and complete migration to IBM API Connect release.
