Resolving The Problem
Messages CPF9E72 or CPF9E71 for 5770HAS product whereby 5770SS1 5051 has a higher usage limit than 5770HAS.
In order for product 5770HAS to function properly, the usage limit of 5770SS1 feature 5051 and 5770HAS must be equivalent.
For example:
For example:
- License key for 5770SS1 feature 5051 is valid for usage limit of 2.
- License key for 5770HAS feature 5050 and feature 5051 is valid for usage limit of 1.
During grace period at HAS usage, message CPF9E72 is posted.
The CPF9E72 message is correct as the system has a license key for only one processor; however, the customer is using two processors. Once the license key is added, it will start a new grace period if the usage limit is exceeded.
When the grace period ends, if the product is back to the licensed processor usage (for example, 1 for 5770HAS and current usage of 1 for 5770SS1), PowerHA will continue to run as normal. However, if the customer's 5770SS1 feature 5051 usage is greater than the usage for the HAS feature license keys and the HAS license key expires for the over usage CPF9E71 is posted, and the product will render useless until either the usage count on products 5770SS1 and 5770HAS are equivalent and is back to what the systems are licensed for or until the customer purchases the licensing for the extra usage and those new keys have been applied.
In summary, in order for product 5770HAS to function the usage limit of 5770HAS must be equal to or greater than 5770SS1.
