Problem
This document describes receiving message CPD2285 when trying to change the Auditing control system value (QAUDCTL).
Resolving The Problem
The message indicates the following:
CPD2285 - Journal QAUDJRN in library QSYS not found.
This is most commonly received while trying to set up security auditing for the first time when it was previously set to *NONE. It is also possible to receive this error message when running the UPDSYSINF command following a previous-release to current-release migration.
An easy way to create QAUDJRN is to use the CHGSECAUD command and change the values to anything other than *NONE. If the security audit journal, QAUDJRN, does not exist when the command is issued, the security journal and its initial journal receiver are created by this command.
Restriction: You must have *ALLOBJ and *AUDIT special authorities to use this command.
