To remove the media cage:

1. Remove the cover by pressing in the cover release latch and rotate up while sliding the cover the rear approximately one-half inch.
2. Lift the cover off and place to the side.
3. Remove the fan bracket by lifting up on the two fan bracket levers and then lift the bracket out of the chassis and place it aside.
4. Disconnect the following cables from the system board: Operator panel, USB Optical drive, Power cord, Diskette, Optical signal cable
5. Lift up the lever and slide the media cage forward and out of the bay. Be careful not to damage the cables.
6. Disconnect the following cables from the devices: Diskette, Optical signal cable, Optical power
7. Remove the diskette drive by releasing the retaining latch and rotate the diskette drive up and out of the cage.
8. Remove the Optical drive by positioning the cage with the drive facing up.
9. Release the spring retaining clip from behind the center detent and lift it off.
10. Grasp the drive and slide it out the front of the retaining channels on the cage.
11. Remove the interposer card by lifting the free end of the interposer card up and out of slots in the cage.
12. Remove the operator information panel by pressing the release button and pull the panel to the open position.
13. Remove the two screws and carefully pull the panel and the cables out of the cage assembly.
