It is not possible to change a Work Order Status to any other Status.  I've compiled a list here as a guide to which Statuses will be allowed, or available in the Status lookup for each status.  In other words, the list of statuses that will display in the lookup for the current Work Order is conditionally based on the current status of the Work Order.

The summary is that the Work Order Change Status dialog will not display all Status values at all times.  The following is a list of allowable status changes for a Work Order. Business logic dictates that some status changes are not allowed, such as changing a Work Order from Completed back to Waiting On Approval.

Please note that the following list also applies to any synonym values that you create for standard Maximo values shown.
