Maximo Mobile MAF Configuration Tool- Changes are not reflecting in Maximo mobile after publishing the changes

Troubleshooting

Problem

Changes are getting published successfully. But the changes are not reflecting in Maximo Mobile intermittently.

File changes are not changed under the path TECHMOBILE/build/app/src

Symptom

STEPS:

1 Connecting to the maximo environment.

2 Redownload the TECHMOBILE.

3 Downloading the files where we have the customization.

4 Replace the files from download folder to MaximoMobile/UAT/TECHMOBILE/src

5 Go to the browser and reload the APP-Configuration page.

6 Click on Publish button

RESULTS: Changes are not reflecting.

After Step 4, if we open the file from MaximoMobile/UAT/TECHMOBILE/src and edit it by just giving extra space and save it, then the changes are reflecting .

Cause

This is an intermittent problem and we do not know the cause.

Resolving The Problem

Assume the code change were in the app.xml and the AppCustomizations.js files. If the code is not generated, verify that the changes are making it into the build folder in the workspace. Check the directory to make sure the changes are present.

.workspace/{user-server}/TECHMOBILE/build/src

For example, the app.xml in the

.workspace/{user-server}/TECHMOBILE/src

needs to match what's in the build folder

.workspace/{user-server}/TECHMOBILE/build/src

If the files look correct, delete the

.workspace/{user-server}/TECHMOBILE/build/src

folder , and the config tool will regenerate it. i.e. before you publish an app, delete the 'build' folder of the app in your workspace. It will pick up all the updated files that would have been copied and changes will reflect in the environment. By deleting the /build folder, this forces the app build process to regenerate, which ensures that it picks up all the files from the /src folder
