Problem
The username and password option boxes to enter credentials are not available.

Resolving The Problem
STEPS:
Clear Internet Explore Browser Cache
1. Launch Internet Explorer.
2. Click Settings and select Internet Options
3. On the General tab, scroll down and select Settings>select View Files
4. A new window opens. Select all the files on the right-side and delete all files as these are temporary cookies
5. Click ok
6. Click Delete under the General tab now (the one left of Settings)
7. Once done, click Apply and click ok and close Internet Explorer
NEXT
1.Open Excel >Select IBM Planning Analytics (top menu)>select Options (far left)>select IBM
Make note of the connections in the box as the connections will need to be added manually following the next step implemented.
One can select Edit>and copy the URLs to notepad for each connection listed or take a print screen
2. Close Excel completely
3. Open Windows Explorer and browse to C:\username\Appdata\Local\Cognos\
Rename the folder Office Connection to Office Connection_old
4. Launch Excel again
5.Note: As per Step 1 details, the connection urls need to be added back once Excel is launched.
In Excel >Select IBM Planning Analytics (top menu)>select Options (far left)>select IBM and Add the connection back as per Step 1 information saved to note pad or print screen taken.
6.Test Logging in to Planning Analytics For Excel.
The logon box appears as expected and one is successful in entering credentials.
