Question & Answer
Question
Loading 6.0 project using OpenProject() API call into Rhapsody 6.1 fails.
Answer
I try to load a Rhapsody 6.0 project using the OpenProject() COM API interface into Rhapsody 6.1.
In the silentmode.log I get the following output:
11, 21, 2005 (14:51:52): Expected version 5.5.7 or earlier file c:\nd\ILX\Rhapsody61\Share/Properties\PredefinedTypes.sbs. Found incompatible version 6.1.3 -- quitting
11, 21, 2005 (14:51:52): File PredefinedTypes.sbs is missing or in non RPY format.
Package will be loaded as stub.
11, 21, 2005 (14:51:52): Missing or corrupt Predefined Types file "c:\nd\ILX\Rhapsody61\Share/Properties\PredefinedTypes.sbs".
Check the value of OMROOT in your Rhapsody.INI file.
Using the normal File|Open dialog from Rhapsody I can load the same project without any problems or any reports in the load.log file.
Solution:
It seems that the COM API starts Rhapsody 6.0.
Try to run the following command line: rhapsody /RegServer
For Rhapsody 6.1. Then try again.
6.0
