Problem
Large requests in Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Excel fail with entity too large errors
Diagnosing The Problem
- Use browser developer tools or Fiddler to trace the HTTP traffic
- Review the response of the failing requests for 413 error codes
Resolving The Problem
- Verify the PAW_INSTALL_DIR\logs\pa-gateway\error.log and access logs
- If the Workspace logs do not provide evidence of the 413 error, the request failed before it was sent to Workspace
- Review the configuration of external gateways and review limit settings
- For example, proxy-body-size and client-max-body-size
