Symptoms
On using user friendly names for multipath, dump capture to VFC backed multipath raw disk fails
because the capture kernel fails to use the right device node to identify the disk.
Workaround
Disable user friendly names for multipath by setting user_friendly_names value to no in
/etc/multipath.conf file. Reboot and rebuild initrd for dump capture kernel by using the
following commands:
kdumpctl rebuild
kdumpctl reload
