Question
JazzSM DASH upgrade fails with the following error message "SOAPException: faultCode=SOAP-ENV:Client; msg=Unable to find a valid IP for host < hostname >"
Answer
A possible cause could be the situation described here:
https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/s/question/0D50z00005q4M2CCAU/jazzsm-dash-upgradeupdate-failure-in-isc-update-unable-to-find-a-valid-ip-for-host-in-the-wsadmintraceout-log?language=en_US
If this is already set correct, then the problem could be caused by the by the sslProtocol property that is specified in the below 2 files and that most probably is not set the same in both of them:
JazzSM_HOME/profile/properties
JazzSM_HOME/profile/config/cel
Make sure the value is set the same.
For example, if you are using SSL_TLS v1.2 then you should set this as follows:
- in ssl.client.props file the property should be SSL_TLSv1.2
- in security.xml file the property should be SSL_TLSv2
