Abstract
ITM Agent Insights: Incorrect agent name displayed in Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP) client
Body
Agent built using Agent Builder does not display correct name in TEP client. This occurs after the Agent Application Support files are installed. The agent name shows up in the following format: KXX:KYYYY where "XX" is the two-character Agent product code and "YYYY" is a number.
This occurs when the TEP Server fails to recognize updated timestamps when the application support is installed.
- Missing Agent Application Support can cause this issue. Confirm the Agent Application Support is installed.
- If Application Support is installed and the problem still persists, execute the following steps to update the timestamps of the Application Support files on the TEPS.
To resolve this issue:
- Stop TEP Server
- On Unix/Linux: touch $CANDLEHOME/<arch>/cq/sqllib/<*pc*>
where $CANDLEHOME is the main ITM installation directory, <arch> is the architecture code, and <pc> is the two-character product code for that Agent.
On Windows: touch %CANDLE_HOME%\CNPS\sqllib\<*pc*> - Reconfigure the TEP Server and select all the defaults.
- Start TEP Server, and then start TEP Client. The TEP Client should display the updated Agent name with correct entries.
