Problem

ITCAM for WebSphere z/OS TEMA: (0001-BD1202D3:kwjagent.cpp,224,"KwjAgent::start") ERROR: Initialization failed. Cancelling the job.

Symptom

When starting the z/OS TEMA you will see this message in the RKLVLOG: (0001-BD1202D3:kwjagent.cpp,224,"KwjAgent::start") ERROR: Initialization
failed. Cancelling the job.

Cause

The ITCAM HFS directory specified in the RKANPARU dataset member KYNSAENV does not match the actual HFS directory as specified in /usr/lpp/itcam/TEMA/yn/config/kyn.cfg.

Diagnosing The Problem

Verify that the HFS directory name is the same in the RKANPARU(KYNSAENV) member and what is specified in /usr/lpp/itcam/TEMA/yn/config.kyn.cfg.

Resolving The Problem

Modify RKANPARU(KYNSAENV) to change KYNCMD= to the same HFS directory as specified in /usr/lpp/itcam/TEMA/yn/config/kyn.cfg.

For example: KYNCMD=/usr/lpp/itcam/TEMA/yn/bin/kynjserver.sh
