ISVA and ISAM Flexera, Flexnet Support Licenses and service will no longer be issued or available after December 31, 2022

Abstract

The Flexera/Flexnet powered IBM Security License Key and Download Center service used with IBM Security Verify Access - ISVA (and IBM Security Access Manager – ISAM) will be shut down after December 31st, 2022. Any associated license file will not be available by this service after this time. This will not have any effect on the products functionality or ability to raise a support ticket.

IBM Security Verify Access - ISVA (and IBM Security Access Manager - ISAM) appliances have had a mechanism in the administration LMI, where administrators can upload a “Support License”.

This license was issued by the IBM Security License Key and Download Center, hosted by Flexera.

Access to this service has been linked to in the "License" section on the Passport Advantage (PA) downloads. This link will also be removed from PA with this announcement.

This license has allowed an ISVA/ISAM Appliance to:

Show/download available updates
Download the PAM WAF updates

After December 31 2022, this service will be shut down, as these functions have been superseded.

Update notifications will continue to be available via the IBM My Notifications service, downloads will continue to be available from IBM Fix Central. A new administration console update mechanism is also being introduced with the next release of IBM Security Verify Access.

PAM WAF Updates will not be required after December 31^st 2022, as the PAM WAF module is end of life at the same time. A new WAF has been introduced, with more detail available here.

Continued Operation

The license issued by this service has no effect on an ISVA/ISAM deployment's continued operation. The license has no effect on the ability to request Support from IBM.

In the event of a deployment passing the expiry date of this “Support License” – no adverse effect will occur to a deployment.
